Tony Lepore of Auburn spoke with NickerNews.
He told me of poor herd management, tight finances, and dead horses at the farm. Tony used to run this property as PDQ Farm with Ivy Rasco.
Lepore ran the facility with Rasco from 1990 to 2004. During that time, the farm hosted lessons, summer camps, and breeding programs.
Ivy Rasco continues to own the property but lives in Smithfield. She has been the Riding Director for the summer camp, Camp Matoaka in Smithfield.

Rasco’s Clinton property is for sale.
Lepore told me as many as 30 horses have died at this farm recently.
Lepore told me dead horses are being hauled away and composted. Compromised horses are hauled away as well.
He told me many, many horses fall into poor health because they are bullied from food and injured by other horses in the same paddock.
Lepore told me Worley has given an order to her Animal Welfare agents to NOT seize any large animals from this farm or any other farm.

I agree. She should be fired immediately. Doesn't anyone else see anything wrong with this "blanket statement"? Come on, people - these horses need help and if the people in positions of authority won't act, we need to hold them accountable too!! Don't look the other way. Don't do the easy thing and go on about your lives like nothing is happening. Please be willing to be vocal for the animals who can't beg for help! Demand action!!!
Animal Welfare is not doing its job as horsepeople know it should be done - there is consensus in that. Changes must be made so that our animal welfare laws are enforced. Please write or call your State Representatives and Senators to insist that this case not be swept under the rug and the suffering of horses allowed to continue. They need to put pressure on the Agriculture Committee to act upon neglect cases.
this is not the first time MRS WARLEY has done nothen about starving horses..there was a case in wilton maine that people call the ACO and MRS WARLEY so menny times about a horse and nothen was done not even after it was dead, and if she had done something in the begining it would still be alive,,and this same man can still have horses and has,,
there was also a place in Brooks, maine where 3 arbains starved to death along with a couple of donky's i know there was alot of calls about them and there again nothen was done.this lady that had them moved here from out of state, she had 30 head of arb.and 30-35 head of donky,,she lived here for 10yrs.she just moved to montana, where no one knows her..
Norma needs to be fired as she is not doing her job.
Who is her supervisor?
If thirty horses have died, how come it has taken this long for anything to be done?
Do you have pictures to back you up?
Animals depend on us, or is this a Maine thing its just an animal.
These people have starved horses that relied on them.
Its time to call the state house and governor's office. What kind of people do we put in these positions?
I know where citizens in other states have gone in and taken animals that were being starved. Why are we sitting back in Maine?
My question is that Norma Warley is collecting a pay check and all the benifits from the State of Maine and is not doing her job? As a tax payer of the State of Maine I want her job fire the women now. Money is tight and her pay check would by hay and grain.
The Ingrahams' should go to jail for this. What is the town of Clinton going to do about their ACO?
While this situation is horrible and steps need to be taken. Mr. Lepore's comments are not, in my opinion, relevant. The farm was questioned on horses conditions and care over many years while Mr. Lepore was involved with it. I would not consider his opinion a valid one.
If Mr. Lepore's comments are not relevant to this case what do we have his comments on this article
Tony is not a very reliable source! I knew of him to be looked down upon by the horse community as well
Let's stick to the subject which is horses in need. Its sickening when people say and print things like "they aren't good parents and when they are through with their kids they can throw them in their grandparents hole!!!!!" Maybe someone should put you out of your misery and put you in a very large dark shit hole?
