Another beautiful Saturday meant another day of fun and games at Andwemet Farm.
Shea and I returned to see if our teeny bit of work on stops and sidepasses would improve our arena performance. Not that I needed those silky ribbons or else! Far from it.
Fun Day is just a great opportunity to challenge yourself and your partner.
As you can see, we joined the much-better pair of Kim Stone and Tabasco for a few events.
This required much patience on their part as they stop on a dime and we, um, saunter to a stop. They can sprint immediately and we take a few strides to get our steam!

As we agreed, this kind of event forces us to “see the holes in our horsemanship.” Many of us were excited to get home and tackle our weaknesses – um, like the ‘whoa’ and the ‘go’ for me and Shea!
And given the lovely weather and fine company, we certainly appreciated our blessings.
Life ain’t too bad when you’re in the saddle!
Many thanks to Sally Butcher for the photography.
